Timbergreeters Greeting Neighbors with Welcome Home Bags
Did you know that when a home sells or rents in Timbergrove, a Timbergreeter goes and greets the new residents after they move in? The Timbergreeter provides our new residents the “big picture” of Timbergrove, giving them a “Welcome Home” Bag. The bag contains useful information such as the fact that Timbergrove Manor Civic Club exists and has a wonderful website at timbergrove.org. Timbergreeters also let new residents know who their Block Captain is, along with his/her email address so that the new resident can make contact with the Block Captain, along with many other bits and pieces of valuable information.
But did you realize that each year there are some great restaurants and local businesses that support our Timbergreeter Bags, allowing us to place coupons for these restaurants and businesses in the bags so that our new residents can learn their way around as they settle in? This year’s Welcome Home Bag supporters are: Kojak’s at 1912 W. 18th Street, Star Sailor at 1710 W. 18th Street, Plucker’s Wing Bar at 1400 N Shepherd and Heights AC & Heating at 114 E 24th St. Obviously, our new neighbors have figured out how wonderful our neighborhood is because they just moved here. But, it’s really special to be able to greet them with a Welcome Home Bag and let them know about other neighbors who live here with restaurants and businesses right in our own backyards!
If you own a local restaurant or business and would like to become a sponsor, you can email timbergreeters@timbergrove.orgto start a conversation about being included in our Welcome Home Bags. And now that you know who they are, you might want to consider supporting these local businesses that are supporting us this year!
