Block Captains Building Community
Submitted by Laura Bradham, Block Captains Chair
Timbergrove Manor has a Block Captain system in place where every block has a Block Captain. The main job of the Block Captain is to connect everyone on his/her block to the neighborhood at large by keeping everyone up to date and informed.
The Block Captains have had a three month orientation this year getting settled into their Block Captain role. At this point, all of them are collecting contact information so that they can keep their neighbors on their blocks informed of the happenings in Timbergrove! If you haven’t been getting emails from your Block Captain, please email me at blockcaptains@timbergrove.org with your name and address and I can connect you to your Block Captain!
Fun things are happening in our near future in Timbergrove including our July 4th Ice Cream Social Event as well as the upcoming National Night Out on Tuesday, October 5, which is a great excuse to get outside and chat with your neighbors! For both of these events, your Block Captain will keep you informed with the information you need to participate.
Right now, I need a new Block Captain for 6302-6435 Pineshade. If you are interested in being the Block Captain for your block, please contact me and I’ll get you started!
Our Block Captains are wonderful individuals that are working to build community on their blocks. I appreciate each and every one of them working behind the scenes to make our neighborhood a happier, friendlier place to live.
