Hoppy Easter: What a Wonderful World
by Tim Louque, Activities Committee
Timbergrove Manor’s 2017 Annual Easter Egg Hunt was once again, by all accounts, eggceedingly eggcellent!
This year’s hunt was held on April 8 and once again we were delighted to have Elizabeth McCormick, Realtor with Heritage Texas Properties as our event sponsor. It was said by many attendees that the Easter Egg Hunts seem to get better every year. Thanks Elizabeth!
Once again, the Easter Egg Hunt took over the Spark Park and school grounds at Sinclair Elementary School. So thanks are in order to Sinclair Elementary for always being willing to work so closely with us as we plan and organize our neighborhood events.
With the increasing number of people attending the event, it was apparent that we needed more help to keep up with the crowd! Children enjoyed the wonderful balloon creations and sensational face painting. Everybody there enjoyed an incredible selection of beverages and pastries.
As the clock struck 10:00 sharp, the ribbons were cut and blurs of children ran here and there, gathering candy filled eggs previously hidden by volunteers in age specific areas. The eggs were then excitedly emptied by their finders. and re-assembled and placed in several bins to be used again next year. Finally, every child was able to select their favorite toy from a table literally covered in prizes.
And what is the highlight of any Easter Egg Hunt? A picture with the Bunny of course! Children lined up with their families, dog owners stood with their puppies, and adults waited as giddy as school kids, all excitedly waiting to have pictures taken with the Bunny.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the help of so many generous volunteers. Thank You! We appreciate and need you! If you’d be interested in volunteering to help out in any way with future activities, please e-mail activities@timbergrove.org
